Q. How do I change my password?

A. You can change your password in a couple of ways. First, if you are on the main website, you can change your password by viewing your profile, and clicking the “settings” tab. The link should be similar to this, but with your username. http://chatmeup.com/members/YOURUSERNAME/settings/

If you are on the mobile website or using our app, you can click on the “home” icon (top left), then scroll down to the “Settings” heading, and click on the “general” link to change your password.

If you have forgotten your password and would just like to reset it, you can do so by following the “lost password” link on the login screen which appears after a failed login attempt. Just enter your email address and submit the form. The system will generate a new password and email it to the email address associated with your account.

Q. How can I keep myself safe online?

A. Never give out your personal information, email, address or phone number to anyone online. If anyone asks you for money, or offers you money, please report it to staff ASAP. Unfortunately, fraudsters are always at work. While we do our best to keep them off this site, we require your alertness and cooperation.
