On February 13, 2015, at Convocation, North America’s largest weekly gathering of Christian students, gospel musician, author and choir director Kirk Franklin spoke to students about shedding pride and insecurity and working to glorify God. Kirk spoke about the beauty of the relay race as a metaphor for life and encouraged students who felt like the baton had been dropped before them to pick it back up and run the race God planned in advance for them to run.
